It is great being the person who can single handedly help someone land their dream job, start their career, or get out of debt.
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the people that we’ve helped get back to work or moved into a position that will make them a happier person in one way or another. It’s nice to make a difference.
Helping people is one of the main reasons I decided to make recruiting my career path, and it continues to drive my everyday activities. Having the ability to change people’s lives (both internal and external) is an awesome benefit.
We get to wear a lot of hats. Not only do we recruit, but we hunt for new business tips, handle HR issues, negotiate with clients and contractors, and more. It’s never boring here!
PEAK has invested time and training in me and I am thankful for that; it is a great company for someone looking to get into the staffing industry.
The great thing about PEAK is that it is a National Company, but it has a smaller, family feel. The work you do doesn’t go unnoticed where it might with a bigger company
Recruiting is mostly about relationships and building a community of talented people that trust you. The most important skills are intelligent communication and honesty!
I choose to stay at PEAK because I work for great people. I have mentors – not managers. I have friends – not associates. I have a career path – not a dead-end job. I couldn’t ask for more.
Recruiting is a people business and I absolutely adore and admire the people I work with. In the office, I work with recent grads hungry to learn just like me and I work with experienced mentors excited to share their industry knowledge. Outside of the office, my clients are some of the smartest people I know. They manage multimillion firms and are great people to have an everyday conversation with.
