History

Today, PEAK Technical Services, Inc. is a full range supplier of contract temporary and direct hire technical professionalsl to virtually every segment of the economy-- including Manufacturing, Transportation, Telecommunications, Public Utility, and Defense.

PEAK Technical Services, Inc. was established in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1968.  Then a subsidiary of Salvucci Engineering, PEAK was originally organized to provide the services of engineers, designers and drafters to local engineering companies.

Initially, PEAK’s primary business was serving heavy industry.  However, PEAK management quickly recognized and aggressively pursued opportunities in other markets.  As clients in new industries were successfully serviced, PEAK not only significantly expanded its customer base, but also marked the first step toward geographic expansion with the 1981 opening of an office in Chicago.

Continued growth in several industries during the 1980's and the resurgence of the economy, combined with the emergence of the contract engineering industry, led to PEAK’s phenomenal growth and geographic expansion.  With employees contributing to engineering, construction, start-up operations and maintenance in virtually every industry, PEAK was listed in Inc. Magazine as one of America’s fastest growing companies.

The 1990's have seen PEAK redefine its market segment.  The elimination of low technology business, a tighter focus on the higher end of mainstream technology, and the development of specialties in emerging technologies are seen as the key components in positioning PEAK for success and expansion as we accelerate our vision in the new millennium.  While this tighter business focus is viewed as a critical ingredient to being a significant force in the evolution of the Staffing Industry, PEAK’s continued success and growth are based upon the commitment by our staff to providing the highest level of customer service to our clients, contract technical professionals, consultants, and to each other.

PEAK continues to redefine its focus, entering new marketplaces as the need presents itself.  Still, one thing remains unchanged…  PEAK is the preeminent resource for “placing the right people in the right place at the right time.”
